چکیده
The set A = {an}∞n=1 of nonnegative integers is an asymptotic basis of order h if every sufficiently large integer can be represented as the sum of h elements of A. If an ∼ αn for some real number α > 0, then α is called an additive eigenvalue of order h. The additive spectrum of order h is the set N (h) consisting of all additive eigenvalues of order h. It is proved that there is a positive number ηh ≤ 1/h! such that N (h) = (0, ηh) or N (h) = (0, ηh]. The proof uses results about the construction of supersequences of sequences with prescribed asymptotic growth, and also about the asymptotics of rearrangements of infinite sequences. For example, it is proved that there does not exist a strictly increasing sequence of integers B = {bn}∞n=1 such that bn ∼ 2 and B contains a subsequence {bnk} ∞ k=1 such that bnk ∼ 3 k . 1. The additive spectrum This paper is motivated by the following problem in additive number theory. Let A be a set of nonnegative integers. The counting function of A is the function A(y, x) = ∑

G-Frames, g-orthonormal bases and g-Riesz bases
G-Frames in Hilbert spaces are a redundant set of operators which yield a representation for each vector in the space. In this paper we investigate the connection between g-frames, g-orthonormal bases and g-Riesz bases. We show that a family of bounded operators is a g-Bessel sequences if and only if the Gram matrix associated to its denes a bounded operator.
متن کاملFrom Clustering Supersequences to Entropy Minimizing Subsequences for Single and Double Deletions
A binary string transmitted via a memoryless i.i.d. deletion channel is received as a subsequence of the original input. From this, one obtains a posterior distribution on the channel input, corresponding to a set of candidate supersequences weighted by the number of times the received subsequence can be embedded in them. In a previous work it is conjectured on the basis of experimental data th...
متن کاملClustering of a Number of Genes Affecting in Milk Production using Information Theory and Mutual Information
Information theory is a branch of mathematics. Information theory is used in genetic and bioinformatics analyses and can be used for many analyses related to the biological structures and sequences. Bio-computational grouping of genes facilitates genetic analysis, sequencing and structural-based analyses. In this study, after retrieving gene and exon DNA sequences affecting milk yield in dairy ...
متن کاملLuminous Phenomena of Earthquakes: Observations and Theories
Over the past few years, different theories (piezoelectric, positive holes, friction-vaporization, exo-electron emission, tribo- or fracture electrification) have been presented for the interpretation of earthquake lights. Although these theories can interpret earthquake luminous, each suffer from particular problems. There are also ambiguities and questions about the location of the light, the...
متن کاملLEARNER INITIATIVES ACROSS QUESTION-ANSWER SEQUENCES: A CONVERSATION ANALYTIC ACCOUNT OF LANGUAGE CLASSROOM DISCOURSE
This paper investigates learner-initiated responses to English language teachers’ referential questions and learner initiatives after teachers’ feedback moves in meaning-focused question-answer sequences to analyze how interactional practices of language teachers, their initiation and feedback moves, facilitate learner initiatives. Classroom discourse research has largely neglected learner init...
